I'm a level- and quest designer from Germany, who is passionate about creating immersive, emotionally engaging game levels and stories regardless of genre. I aim to craft memorable experiences that captivate and engage players in meaningful ways. Lets connect & create awesome things together!

Currently based in Malta.

Level Design / Game Design experiences:

  • Senior Level Designer - Since June 2024 I am working for 4A Games Ltd (known for METRO franchise) in Sliema, Malta.

  • Level Designer - March 2024 - June 2024, for Bongfish GmbH in Graz, Austria. Worked on a multiplayer first-person PvPvE shooter. Owner for points of interest locations & outposts/compounds across the map. Unannounced Co-Dev collaboration.

  • Level Designer - January 2021 - February 2024, for Cyber Manatee GmbH in Cologne, Germany. I was responsible for level-, quest-, mission- and world design on all projects and prototypes, primarily Singleplayer Action & Survival Horror.

  • Game Design lecturer - During the winter term 2023/2024 I gave lectures in game design (with focus on basic & advanced Level Design techniques) at Macromedia University in Cologne, Germany.

  • Community / Hobbyist / Freelance Level Designer - One of my favorite activities throughout my earlier life was designing and building maps for Counter-Strike:GO or building levels for Half-Life Alyx VR. Since 2016, I worked on personal CS:GO community maps and other modding/mapping projects. And even way before, dating back to 2008, I was exploring “level design” as a teenager when I was making maps for Star Wars: Republic Commando in Unreal 2.5.

Masters degree & studies:

  • M.A. Game Development - September 2018 - January 2021, I studied Game Development and research (Masters program) at the Cologne Game Lab. I wrote my Master’s thesis about “Understanding Level Design for Virtual Reality” (DOWNLOAD PDF), analyzing the differences between Half-Life 2 and Half-Life Alyx in terms of level design conventions.
